About Me
Hi, I’m Bob - short for Robyn (a nickname that stuck somewhere in my teens and never left!)
I’m a Nelson-based celebrant with a love for words, people, and meaningful moments. I’ve called this beautiful corner of Aotearoa home for over 30 years, but I’m always happy to travel wherever your ceremony takes me - across New Zealand and beyond.
After completing my Diploma in Celebrancy through the Celebrant Training College of New Zealand, I knew I’d found my calling: helping people mark life’s biggest milestones with authenticity, heart, and love.
I’ve always had a deep love for creative writing, and I consider it a true privilege to help tell your story - whether that’s a heartfelt wedding ceremony, a loving eulogy, a celebration of life, or something entirely your own. Words matter. Rituals matter. And the way we honour love, loss, joy, and transformation matters deeply to me.
Alongside my celebrancy work, I’ve also completed The Cacao Emissary programme through The Cacao Ambassador, which reflects my strong connection to the sacred heart medicine of cacao. I hold regular cacao ceremonies in our local community and would love to weave this into your celebration, if it feels aligned for you.
I have a great sense of humour - and I believe laughter and tears are equally sacred. I love celebrating, honouring, and remembering - with love, laughter, and tears… however they fall.
I love meeting new people. I love creating ceremonies. And I really, truly love... love.
