We’ll start with a relaxed chat - over coffee if you’re local, or online if you’re further afield. This is where we get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit. There’s no pressure, just a warm conversation about your ideas and what’s possible.
Step 2: Dream and Design
Once you’ve decided I’m your celebrant, we’ll dive into the details. I’ll guide you through everything - from the legal paperwork and ceremony structure to readings, vows, and any special rituals or cultural elements you’d like to include.
Step 3: Crafting Your Story
This is where the magic happens. Using your words, memories, and moments, I’ll craft a ceremony that’s uniquely yours - one that captures the heart of your relationship and the spirit of your love. You’ll have the chance to review, edit, and make sure every word feels right.
Step 4: Rehearsal
If it helps you feel more comfortable, we can do a run-through before the big day. It’s a great chance to settle any nerves and make sure everyone knows their part, so you can relax and truly enjoy the moment. It gives everyone involved the chance to connect.
Step 5: Your Wedding Day
The moment you’ve been waiting for! When the day arrives, I’ll be there early to make sure everything flows smoothly. All you need to do is breathe, be present, and soak in every beautiful moment. I’ll guide you and your guests through the ceremony with warmth, sincerity, and heart — making sure everything flows beautifully and feels truly meaningful.
From our first chat to your “I do,” I’ll walk beside you every step of the way - creating a ceremony that feels genuine, joyful, and true to your love.
How much does it cost?
Every love story is one of a kind — yours included. Your ceremony will be crafted to reflect the beauty, depth, and spirit of your relationship. After we’ve talked through your dreams, plans, and wishes for the day, I’ll provide you with a personalised quote that truly reflects your vision.
My minimum fee as a Marriage Celebrant is $400, which represents the time, care, and heartfelt energy I pour into creating a ceremony that celebrates your love in the most meaningful way.
Please note: Travel costs may apply for ceremonies held outside the Nelson region. A Marriage or Civil Union licence costs $150, and there is a $33 fee for your official Marriage Certificate. These are applied and paid for by you directly.
